Terms of Service
These terms govern how you use this website and how we handle enquiries, performer recommendations and bookings. By visiting the site, sending an enquiry or confirming a booking you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Scottish Wedding Entertainments Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) arranges live entertainment for weddings and events across Scotland. You can contact us at admin@scottishweddingentertainments.com or 13 Millcraigs Crescent, Winchburgh, Broxburn, Scotland, EH52 6GJ, United Kingdom.
Using this website
- You must use the site lawfully, for genuine wedding or event planning, and without disrupting other users.
- You must not copy, scrape or reuse content, media or code without written permission.
- Accounts are personal. Keep login details secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Information on the site is provided in good faith. Availability, pricing and set lists can change and are confirmed in writing during the booking process.
Enquiries and proposals
- When you enquire, please provide accurate details of your date, venue, timings and preferences so we can assess availability.
- Any quotes, proposals or performer holds we issue are subject to availability until you sign your agreement and any stated reservation payment clears.
- Special requests (for example, bespoke songs or extended sets) are agreed in writing and may include additional fees.
Bookings and payments
- Booking details, fees and payment milestones are set out in your booking summary or contract. Payments are made in GBP unless stated otherwise.
- Reservation fees or deposits are only refundable if required by law or as set out in your contract.
- Late or missed payments may delay confirmations, limit performer options or lead to cancellation of the booking.
- Invoices and receipts are issued electronically. If you need alternate formats, let us know when booking.
Changes and cancellations
- If you need to change date, venue, timings or scope, we will try to accommodate the change. Additional costs may apply if it affects travel, crew or performance length.
- Client cancellations are handled according to your contract. Some costs (such as deposits or committed travel) may be non-refundable.
- If a performer becomes unavailable due to illness or other valid reason, we will propose suitable replacements. If no suitable replacement is accepted, we will refund fees you have paid to us for that performance.
- Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (including extreme weather, emergencies or venue closures). Each party will notify the other as soon as possible and work to reschedule where feasible.
Event responsibilities
- Please ensure the venue provides safe access, parking or loading, appropriate power supply, and any required staging or shelter.
- You are responsible for complying with venue rules on sound limiters, curfews and permits. Tell us in advance about any restrictions that could affect the performance.
- Reasonable breaks, refreshments and a secure space for performers to prepare may be required depending on the booking.
- We reserve the right to stop or alter a performance if safety is at risk (for example, unsafe electrical setups, disruptive behaviour or extreme weather for outdoor shows).
Recordings and media
- All media on this site belongs to us or the relevant performers. You must not reuse it without permission.
- If you wish to record a performance, please request consent from us and the performers in advance.
- We may ask to share photos, testimonials or clips from your event for marketing. We will only do so with your consent.
Third-party services
We may link to third-party platforms (for example, ticketing or calendar services). Those services are governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Liability
- We provide the site and booking service with reasonable skill and care. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that the site will be error-free.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of business or loss of profits. Our total liability for a booking is capped at the amount you have paid to us for that booking, except where the law requires otherwise.
Privacy and cookies
Your personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. By using the site or booking with us you acknowledge these notices.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. The updated date will show at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
